APTICA leads several lines of work in this project focused on research into 5G communication systems and interoperability techniques in industry 4.0

The target of the activities developed by APTICA will be the creation of a wireless communications system for a high-density multi-actor environment (swarms of robots and logic modules in infrastructure) with low latency times, as well as edge computing techniques for the effective reduction of 50% of the global volume of data to be transmitted between the set of robots and the central system of the infrastructure, and of an interoperable integration middleware, capable of producing virtual sensors that offer extended functionalities, improving the state of the art of the field of industry 4.0

INMERBOT is an R&D project whose objective is to advance in the knowledge of teleoperation and management of multirobotic systems in highly immersive environments for inspection and maintenance applications, which implies research in haptic technologies, robotics, analysis of the environment using various sensors, as well as research on the use of artificial intelligence for mobility, detection of defects and reconstruction of the environment from data from sensors and vision cameras

Along with APTICA, the companies TSK, ALISYS, COTESA, ECAPTURE, ROBOTNIK, GPA SEABOTS and SYLTEC participate in this Project. Additionally, the technology centers ITCL and LEITAT collaborate, as well as the Polytechnic University of Madrid and the University of Oviedo. The project has been awarded by the Center for Industrial Development (CDTI, for the acronym in Spanish), within the Science and Innovation Missions program
