Description

APTICA has developed a tool for radio planning processes automation within the Radiotelevisione Italiana (RAI).

RAI provides broadcasting services of multiple radio and television channels, both with analogue and digital technologies.

Based on the current operator’s designs, APTICA has developed a proprietary tool for this entity that allows, by applying genetic algorithms, to test multiple network compositions and get a topology and configuration to maximize coverage minimizing interference.

The tool allows to design new networks or migrate old analog technologies to new digital broadcast technologies such as DVB-T, DVB-T2, DAB + or DRM.
