APTICA has participated in different training and consulting activities for the entities in charge of the implementation of Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) in Colombia.
Since August 2017 and until the end of July 2018, within the framework of the agreement between the European Union and Colombia to support the migration of analogue television to digital terrestrial television (DTT), several activities have been developed aimed at defining the regulation and training the entities responsible for the technological transition process.
The project, led by the company BAA CONSULTORS, has analyzed the migration process of the television service in Colombia from the technical, regulatory, content and communication perspectives. Multiple activities have been developed focused on the definition of regulation, action methodologies and training of vital entities in the transition process such as the National Television Authority (ANTV), the Communications Regulation Commission (CRC), the National Spectrum Agency (ANE) or the National Radio Television of Colombia and the regional channels.
APTICA has maintained an important role in the development of the project participating and leading certain activities oriented to technical and regulatory aspects. Specifically, providing consulting and training services in areas such as radio planning of DTT networks, methodologies for measurement and monitoring of emissions, the integration of technical components in Colombian regulation or the study of the sevice penetration in households of the country.
The results of this project greatly strengthen the management capacity of the process of transition to Digital Terrestrial Television of the Colombian authorities.
