The Centro de Investigaciones Científicas y Tecnológicas del Ejército de Ecuador (CICTE), the agency responsible for developing projects of scientific and technological importance in the civil and military context in Ecuador, has purchased a license of the spectrum management tool Sirenet.

In this context, the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM) in collaboration with APTICA, have imparted in Madrid an advanced training in wireless technologies and Sirenet use to three lecturers from ESPE (Escuela Politécnica del Ejército de Ecuador).
