Thus, there is a special need for\naccurate tools and mapping models.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>VODAFONE SPAIN is involved in an important\nnationwide 5G deployment. It has started in the main Spanish cities and it will\nevolve towards other less populated areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>APTICA is providing high resolution digital 3D\nmodels for the different cities where deployments are planned. This accurate\nmapping allows the virtual modelling of the real radio environment where the\nnetwork will operate. Then, it is possible to simulate the network behaviour and\nto decide the best configuration for the Base Stations in order to improve the\nperformance.\n\nThis cartography has been generated from the\ncombination of different sources: satellite, radar and planimetric data. Following\nspecific requirements from VODAFONE, APTICA has applied a set of model\ntechniques to reduce the number of facets, which facilitates its use in\nradioelectric planning tools under different propagation models\n\n\n\n<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Wireless technologies evolution, specially with 5G arriving, makes network design more important for mobile operators.
