Description

APTICA has provided professional consulting and engineering services in the field of ICT to FOMENTO DE SAN SEBASTIÁN for developing a proposal of “Smart” projects integrated in the framework of Smart Cities Program of the Digital Agenda for Spain and in line with strategy of DONOSTI SMARCITY reflected in  Smart City Plan for Donostia.

The Proposal was submitted to the “Second meeting of Smart Cities of the Digital Agenda for Spain” published by RED.ES and named HC-Smart Donosti. The aim of the proposal is to develop a set of actions focusing on the construction and implementation of novel and innovative management systems, sensorization and information processing. All of it related to services and management areas under municipal competence. That implies an improvement on the quality of life of citizens and on the experience of city´s visitors, as well as the range of technological infrastructure and communications. The new network provides enough capacity to support the proposed systems and the future ones, which will be developed according to the roadmap of the transition to the concept of intelligent city.

The elaboration of this project has been, for APTICA, an important work of specification, design and optimization of different systems and integrated technologies, as well as inter-department coordination and alignment with the Smart City Plan for Donostia.

The fields of municipal services in this proposal include, especially, Mobility and Transport, Public Safety and Civil Protection, Public Spaces, Sustainable Urbanism, Economic, trade, hospitality sector and tourism Boost, and President and Transparency, Human Resources and Innovation.

The HC-Smart Donosti proposal was one of the 18 evaluated positively by RED.ES, for a set of 108 proposals submitted.
