Description

By the Executive Decree No. 96 of 12 May 2009, Panama adopts the European DTT standard, known as DVB-T, to carry out the migration of analogue technology to digital in the television broadcast service.

In 2014, with financing of the general budget of the European Union and implementation of the State System of Radio and Television of Panama, APTICA organized a mission of experts from the Public Services Authority of Panama, who visit Spain to discuss the implementation policies of digital television system in Panama.

This mission includes visits and working groups with key stakeholders in the development of DTT in Spain: administration, operators, manufactures, installers, media agencies, consultants, etc., analysing all kind of technical and regulatory aspects, as well as socialization and appropriation of DTT by users.
