The National Reference Centres (CRN) of Communications and Computer Development in Getafe has expanded its training offering with a ground-breaking project of 5G technology in Spain. The aim of this training is that attendees learn how to install the 5G network infrastructure and the equipment interconnection with the data centres according to the current regulations and laws, the quality protocols, privacy and digital security, as well as guaranteeing its functionality and respect for environment.

APTICA and Huawei have been responsible for installing a mock-up of 5G including all the equipment, terminals and other materials. In this laboratory the trainees can become familiar with this technology. Additionally, all the documents and training were provided to the faculty

The course of Technical Perfection. 5G Communication networks and services (Installation of 5G networks) was given in-person classes from 14th to 18th December 2020. The main goal was taught teaching staff, teachers in vocational schools and experts the implementation of the new 5th generation of mobile technologies. Both theorical and practical knowledge of installation and configuration of 5G equipment were introduced in this course. The course was officially opened by Eva María Blázquez Agudo, Deputy Minister of Employment, and Carmen Menéndez González-Palenzuela, Deputy Director General of Active Employment Policies. More courses will be given in-person classes soon.
